   Followed his footsteps thru Yukon. Sam was a real person in Whitehorse when service wotked there. Service took poetic license to use his name. Sam sued Service. When it became apparent the poem was popular Sam accepted it and dropped the suit.

   You're doin' fine so far there Sled. Funny thing of it is I just read The Cremation of Sam McGee for the first time only a day or two ago. I've always enjoyed Robert Service's poetry though.
